This App is in violation of App Store Review Guidelines 3.1.1 on In-App Purchase:
“Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase.”
Niantic will have a hefty lawsuit on their hands soon.
White Screen During Battle

When encountering Pokémon and going into battle mode my screen is all white all I see is a poke ball a Pokémon and a white screen

Another update and more bugs but nothing fixed. I love being a passenger on my couch and fighting your bargain basement servers! Niantic still doesn’t care about players! Such a surprise!
“Don’t trespass.” “Don’t go into dangerous places.” “Be aware of your surroundings.” All of these warning messages, but you fire off raids in gyms (aka business locations) at all hours of the day and night encouraging the exact things you tell people not to do! Yes, let’s encourage people to do a raid at that restaurant at 7am when they don’t open until 1pm! But make sure to somehow not trespass!
Newest update and we still can’t have any consistency! Why does a CP 105 pokemon take NINE ULTRA BALLS to catch, but a CP 1435 was caught in a single Poke ball. Would be nice for the different ball levels to mean...anything at this point, but it clearly is nothing but a palette swap for these lazy programmers.
When is Niantic gonna listen to their players? We have been complaining about the “I’m a passenger” crap for THREE YEARS. It only seems to pop up when your servers can’t locate somebody on their couch or when you are actually about to do something in a game (which is then no longer an option because of the popup) to nag the crap out of you and make the glitches seem ok. They are not ok Niantic.
Why is there a limit of 50 coins being earned in a day? We get you want money, but you would still make money without showing your greed so openly. If a Pokemon has managed to hold a gym for multiple days, it is ridiculous that you would limit the reward to, wait for it, not only 50 coins, but 50 coins per day max over all Pokemon. Whoever thought this up needs to be immediately fired. It is in extremely poor taste and it makes your company look SO bad, but yet you will keep at it anyway because, once again, Niantic doesn’t care about their players.
I love spending 12 balls to catch a middling level Pokemon only for it to run...like the others before him that fled...upwards of 75% of a flee rate at this point. That is astronomical flee rates and shows just how little Niantic cares about its players. At this point Niantic should be ashamed, but they won’t be. They wear that greed on their sleeve proudly!
Items now get used but don’t register on the Pokemon. Guess that Jolteon was super dead since it was THREE REVIVES before it registered being alive again. Did I get the two extra revives back? Of course not! Niantic feels you should be happy for their glitches and give them more money for you to be ignored further. Absolutely unreal how bug riddled a THREE YEAR OLD APP is.
For three years you have been using the public to open beta test a game that was not ready for release, yet you shoveled it out as the steaming pile it was anyway. You have made some improvements along the way and gotten closer to what you once promised, but truly, until you start caring about your players and listening to them, your game will remain a mediocre app that struggles to hit any marks. The time to listen isn’t when the players start leaving and you would do best to learn that Niantic.
Listen and care about what your players are saying.
An Amazing App, But....
So, here’s the thing. I LOVE the app. I play it almost every day because I enjoy trying to get all of the Eevee evolutions and other things. The only thing is, when I click “buy” or “get” or whatever the button says in the shop... it won’t let me get it. It just loads and loads and loads, and I have to exit the app completely to make it stop. It could just be my phone, but if not, please fix this!!! Also, one other thing. Eevees have become SUPER rare for some reason! I’ve been trying to find them, and they used to be EVERYWHERE, but now they’re really rare. I LOOOOVE eevees and I wish they would stop being super rare. (I FINALLY got all the Eevee Evolutions because a friend traded one of his, like, 8 Vaporeons to me! So I’m happy, but please, it’d be nice is eevees weren’t AS rare now.) Other than that, I love the game.

While this game has helped me to have a more active lifestyle, I cannot in good conscious recommend it to others due to Niantic’s behavior around shiny rates and egg-exclusive shinies. As others have stated, this app is in violation of App Store Review Guidelines 3.1.1 on In-App Purchase: “Apps offering “loot boxes” or other mechanisms that provide randomized virtual items for purchase must disclose the odds of receiving each type of item to customers prior to purchase.” Rates on loot boxes have changed dramatically for in app purchases recently and some shiny Pokémon have even been temporarily disabled and the developer do not disclose these changes.

Niantic really makes this game unfair
After playing through some 6 events, I’ve realized that Niantic, as a publisher, really hates seeing happy players. Every time there is an event promoting new shinies, or a new thing in the (loot crate) egg hatches, you can be absolutely guaranteed that they will have changed the spawn rates so that getting that things will be virtually impossible. Then these vultures sell extra chances at opening lootboxes( in the form of incubators) and extra chances to fight in raids. It’s utterly despicable.
Niantic is scamming our ‘earned events’
They give us a shot at regions shiny from 7k eggs, and decrease the walking distance BUT what they don’t tell you is on there back end change the odds for 1/150 shiny instead of 1/50. DONT SPEND MONEY ON THEAE SCAMS
The game is basically completely different than it use to be, which should be a good thing but it’s not. The game forces you to stay in AR mode. I tried contacting someone for technical support and all I get are automated messages back. They only have three options for when you want to report a problem and they’re either for log in issues or refunds. The game is so boring and all around not fun to play anymore. Every time I think I want to play, I get on and instantly remember why I don’t open the app anymore. It wouldn’t be so bad if they actually had humans to talk to and help you out but it seems they’ve put all their effort into other things that have nothing to do with the app. I hate to feel this way about something I use to thoroughly enjoy but they make no effort to better the app and fix problems. I’d rather work than play this game because at least then I’d get something out of it.
