  • Too many ads

I was happy to support the great reporting the NYT does, but the ads on this app are so annoying. I pay for apps so I don’t have to see advertisements and there seems to be no way to avoid them with this app.

Hands down the best app for crashing and interrupting my music 👌

It’d be nice if the homepage was more zoomed in to fill the whole screen, instead of having the bars on the side. It would greatly enhance visibility.
  • Bloated

I used to love the content but the interface has now soured me on the entire experience. I read during my commute and cell service is spotty. There is so much adornment of the text (plus video stories and ads) that the view just stalls, in addition to eating up my data quota. If I could find a way to block everything except text, I’d do it in a flash: I don’t need a magazine!

Ever since I updated to the new version of the app and fhe new iOS, it keeps freezing and the scrolling function is jumpy.
  • Great!.... But what about a dark mode?

Great app and great journalism. But can we please get a dark mode and save my eyes?
  • Add support for dark mode!

Add support for dark mode already! The Washington Post has had it from day one.
  • A desperately needed service.

I am in awe of the quality and depth of presentation that comes out EVERY day from this group of reporters and analysts. I’ve spent years as a conservative Republican with a raised eyebrow view of the NYT. I liked the cultural/ theater sections only. Well, times have changed. Now, I spend an enlightening 1/2 hour or so drinking in what rings of truth and hope within this podcast. I am moved by your good works. Thank you sincerely.
  • Great app, but will I read it...

Please bring back the widget(s). Without them, your app is just any other one that goes un-used on a day-to-day basis. I don’t have a lot of time to intentionally read through the NYT everyday. Or WP, or WSJ for that matter. But their widgets pique my interest, and next thing you know I’m clicking article after article (admittedly while I should be doing other things... but at least I’m learning something). Bring back the NYT widget... at minimum, this weekend, 5 things to get the day started, and ... everything else. Thank you.
  • Home deliveries never on time

I recently got a subscription for home deliveries and I was so excited to get my newspaper but it never showed up. I’m really disappointed but at least I got my money back for every delivery they missed. I still didn’t get one delivered yet.
