Skype keeps the world talking. Say “hello” with an instant message, voice or video call – all for free*, no matter what device they use Skype on. Skype is available on phones, tablets, PCs, and Macs. • Video calls – Don’t just hear the cheers, see them! Get together with 1 or 24 of your friends and family on a HD video call. Watch everyone’s smiles and cries when you tell them “We’re engaged!!!"  • Chat – Reach people instantly. Send messages to your friends, grab someone’s attention with @ mentions, or create a group chat to plan a family reunion.  • Share – Send photos and videos with your family and friends. Save shared photos and videos to your camera roll. Share your screen to make travel plans with friends or present designs to your team. • Voice calls – Camera shy? Make voice calls to anyone in the world on Skype. You can also call mobile and landlines at low rates. • Express yourself – Liven up conversations with emoticons, click on the “+” in chat to send a Giphy or images from the web, and annotate images with words, lines and more. *Skype to Skype calls are free. Operator data charges may apply. We recommend using an unlimited data plan or WiFi connection. Call landline and mobile phone numbers and send SMS messages anywhere in the world at affordable prices using Skype. Reach non-Skype users or contacts who are not online by choosing Skype Credit or Skype subscriptions.    Choose Skype Credit as a pay-as-you-go option to call and SMS. If you call specific destinations, save even more with monthly subscriptions. Skype subscriptions are monthly calling plans that let you make unlimited, or fixed-minute calls to landlines (and mobiles where applicable). Subscriptions begin at $2.99 a month for US, and can vary by destination. To make an in-app purchase, open the app, go to the Call tab, and tap on the Skype to Phone banner. Skype Credit and Subscriptions purchased from the Skype app will be charged to your iTunes account when the purchase is confirmed.   Your account will be charged for Skype subscription renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Your subscription is renewed automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period of subscription.   You can manage your subscription by going to your Apple ID account settings and choosing the auto-renewal option or turning it off any time after your purchase.   • Privacy and Cookies policy: • Microsoft Services Agreement:

Fix the call notification please like before. Where we can have the ability to get calls outside the app in the background
  • Battery drains very fast when I use Skype

    By vsp77
I have observed that when I start calling using Skype my battery drains like anything. This is not the case with other applications like whatsapp. You should work to resolve this issue ASAP.
  • MS Exchange Server screws up Skype

    By TyteLyfe
After days of wondering why I couldn’t access Skype (personal or business) and couldn’t open a new Skype account, I was told by GoDaddy it’s because of the new Microsoft Exchange Server we just migrated to for email. And even after doing everything they/we could to remedy the skype issues, Skype is still not working. I hate how Microsoft comes out with new products, sells them hard saying how everything will be easier and better, and then there are always strange ramifications with no help in sight.
  • Take my money and don't connect me to my call

    By uncle blaxk
Each time I call my mother in South Sudan Skype connects me to an automated voice that says the number cannot be accessed and they charge me as much as a dollar for about three seconds of that automated voice response --really not cool
  • Smoothness

    By Desiigner542
I want to suggest to you if you could make this app as smooth as messenger app ,,, I think it would’ve been great ,,, but thanks . You are guys are doing a great Job !!!
  • UX catastrophes

    By Behnam Kamrani
So sad to see an “one day great app” has become a horrible UX. So hard to work with... there is no rational behind anything it seems :(
  • Better than FaceTime

    By Juazolo
I use this app to communicate with my girlfriend long distance and I have to say, we both enjoy it better than FaceTime. I do not believe we’ve ever had a dropped call, frozen screen, or blacked out screen as will sometimes occur with FaceTime.
  • You deleted some features that I used a LOT, and I don’t see why.

    By In the AMs
You used to be able to access the camera with a separate button at the bottom of the screen, and you used to be able to zoom on the front camera. Why’d you take that away? I used the button and zoom a lot because I have an iPhones, of which flips the photos, but Skype doesn't. Yes, I use this often to talk to long distance friends and all, but I used it to take selfies with my friends too.
  • Slow and UI Was Made Terrible

    By StaminaCrackTruCru
Skype was much better and more responsive. Now it is slow, bloated and takes up way too much CPU and memory. On top of that the UI is terrible to use, is unresponsive and is just annoying. Go back and get some decent UX and developers for the UI and application. Use another application such as Slack, Hangouts, anything else. This was my go to and everyone used it, now there is just a few and we have moved on. Skype is going the way of AOL Instant Messenger. Dead! Dead! Dead!
  • Works great
