Signed up today, started watching on my ipad air 2, but paused it to do something, and when I came back to it, the app crashed and every time I open it, it closes. I tried restarting my ipad, no change. I will try re-installing, but I’m so disappointed.

I purchased the membership through ITunes but every time I try to watch a show it says I need to buy a membership. Contacted ITunes but...so far...no luck. I really like the shows they have available but I’m about ready to give up!
  • Love the content, hate the app!

The app frequently freezes so I have to close the app and start again. When it isn’t freezing, it doesn’t let me stream to my TV. And just now, I tried playing an episode and it wouldn’t let me select the episode, however I could expand the description and move to other menus. Please, please fix this! I’m paying money for an app that works maybe half the time. Only thing keeping me subscribed is the content, but if I can’t watch the content, then what is the point?
  • Very Clever programing. Will see if my WiFi & internet do a good job.

Love more programs on Acorn than my general USA programs. Blends good mysteries with gripping human interest stories.

Easy to use. Able to watch my favorite series in sequence and to the latest episode, rather than rebroadcasted episodes from the public stations. Excellent visual quality.

Around 7-9 pm you can not get this app to work. It tells you that you do not have a subscription. What a waste of money....
  • Does not work and their 'solution' is not

On my 4K Apple TV, no show works. Whatever show I try to play, I get the error 'Sorry, we're unable to load this stream.' I'm logged in, all other apps work - Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. I contacted support. It took them 16 days to respond. They said restart your device. I did. They said uninstall and reinstall the Acorn TV app. I did. They said I need a download speed of at least 15-25Mbps. Told them my speed is 234Mbps. I even sent a screenshot. They said clear the cache. I said no such option on an Apple TV 4K. Then they finally said use Airplay. That is dumb. It tells me they do not have competent programmers to fix issues that other streaming apps don't have. So they don't have a solution. Totally unacceptable.
  • Worst streaming app

This app is the worst. It shows I’m logged in but when I try to watch a video it asks me to choose a membership plan. So I log out and I try to log back in it says my email/password is incorrect even though it is correct. So I reset my password and log in. Next day, the cycle repeats. I have reset my password almost every day this week just to watch tv. I am cancelling my subscription. This is garbage.

After submitting numerous messages, I still haven’t received any response or any help with the playback issues I have been having since renewing my subscription. I either receive messages about iTunes or the video fails to play altogether. I have sent pictures in of my renewed subscription to acorn yet they still fail to fix this issue
  • Keeps crashing

Keeps crashing suddenly and repeatedly while streaming. Also crashes while watching on device. Ignores start where you left off when you shut it down normally and starts at the beginning requiring you to figure out where you had to stop so that's hit or miss since there is no preview when you look for it. I love Acorn but this app is barely functional. Now it's having emotional problems with the fact I pay on their site. The app is stopping me from streaming and asking me to get a membership via apple. I have to enter account on the app which tells me that I have a membership, then go to the home page and search for the show I want. THEN it will play. Does not offer to play next episode. I have had this app before last year and it worked. Now it's a hot mess
