  • Wonderful

Think Rock Band, but you actually learn keyboard/piano. Disclaimer - I paid for a monthly subscription. And I have NO regrets. This app is exactly what I was looking for. I played flute and piano in high school, but after ten years of not touching either, I all but forgot everything when it comes to piano. I was gifted a keyboard a few days ago, but I was clueless as to how to use it. This app was the answer. By paying for the subscription, I have unlimited practice time, which is wonderful. As other reviewers have mentioned, I do not think the free 10 minutes a day is sufficient to drastically improve/learn. I have been able to quickly advance through the app within a short amount of time. I can feel and hear a drastic improvement with every play through, and I find myself daydreaming about getting off of work to continue practicing. I don’t find the videos to be particularly helpful. Some areas regarding hand placement and alternating between chords could be more clear. Occasionally, the app will have a difficult time recognizing lower notes. However, I still give this app a 5/5. The color coding makes it significantly more easy for beginners to remember hand placement. The “game” aspect of the app adds some bonus fun - I enjoy returning to older lessons/songs to see how I’ve improved. Based on the other reviews I have read, I HIGHLY recommend paying for the subscription if you can. It’s not the cheapest app, but you get what you pay for. And honestly, $30/month isn’t terrible when you consider the cost to hire a tutor 3 times a week, for an hour at a time.

  • How do I cancel?

    By ccCone
Please cancel. No way to change preferences I am not experienced. I don’t even know left hand notes. App has me using notes and fingers I have never learned!! Need to learn from beginning. Where is the Home Screen? Where you sign up. Decide which program you need.

Fun - easy - good early results
  • Yousician same problem

    By AnikaThePianist
I already wrote the review in Yousician for what I think but I’ll say it again. It keeps showing up premium when I don’t want it. I will get it at my own time. Plus, why should we need premium?
  • Ad banners for a paid app?

    By Mikaelhm
Really not alright to have an ad in a subscription app, which you pay a good amount of money for! Ad free please!
  • Good, but not great

    By ppPppDanielppPpp
I am trying to learn to play piano. The good part is that it’s better than Simply Piano. The Good, but not great part is: When I’m trying to play the “Pop - Three chord songs”, & “Classical - D Minor Position”, the microphone always thinks that I’m playing the wrong chords and/or notes. On the “Classical - D Minor Position”, it’s my keyboard that gets me wrong. On the “Pop - Three chord songs”, it’s the microphone that gets me wrong. Can you please fix this, Yousician, and the creators of my keyboard? Thanks.
